Our Commitment
WildPhoto Travel and our Guide Team have a commitment that extends beyond photography; we are deeply passionate about protecting the Arctic’s nature and wildlife. We are actively involved in conservation efforts like the Polar Bears & Humans and Trade Secret project – focusing not only on capturing incredible images of wildlife and landscapes, but also on preserving the species we love so much to photograph.
Our History
Since our start in 2006, WildPhoto Travel has organized over 200 photo tours and expeditions to some of the most remote and spectacular regions on Earth, including Svalbard, Greenland, Alaska, Antarctica, South Georgia, and the Falkland Islands. We’re proud to be a local Svalbard-based company ensuring that all payments to WildPhoto Travel directly support the Longyearbyen (Svalbard) community.
Our Ship
We offer you an exclusive experience in Svalbard on board our ice-strengthened expedition ship - MS Virgo. With only 12 guests in 6 single cabins and 3 twin cabins - all new in 2022 with private bathrooms - this vessel secures safe navigation in Polar waters, including the pack ice. Equipped with two spacious zodiacs, you will have plenty of room when photographing wildlife and landscapes, from a lower perspective, and away from the crowds.
