Espen Lie Dahl
Espen has been a keen birder throughout his entire life. His fascination for birds led him to a PhD in ecology at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, NTNU. During his studies, and later on as a researcher, he has studied birds, focusing mostly on population studies of the White-tailed eagle. The last couple of years Espen has worked with biology in the aquaculture and fish farming industry.
Besides being a biologist and birder, Espen is a nature photographer, working mainly with bird photography, and he has been awarded in several national as well as international photo competitions. Espen lives on the island of Smøla together with his wife and two boys. Here, he also runs the company Smøla Naturopplevelser with his brother, Audun.
